The First Snow
Directed by Emily Kim this is not your average Rom-Com, this tale follows protagonist Jean Valdez’s search for her first kiss. Funny, awkward, and heartwarming, Elmir employs her signature quirkiness, except this time it’s with an English accent. This is one short film you don’t want to scroll past.

DEATH IN THE POWDER ROOM
Two girlfriends fight and then make up in a bathroom stall on Valentine’s Day, only to be interrupted by a murder!?! Talk about a turn off! Stephanie Elmir and Leesa Kim serve odd couple realness in this dark comedy. Moreover, Elmir brings laughs as the logical but quirky “straight man” of the duo. LAUGH IT OFF
Jaime Levey’s variety show stuns with her three comedy pieces, Sexpectations, Man-Tasy, Three Ways, and Cum Together. Elmir joins the ensemble cast in three of the shows, a recurring waitress that just needs a break from all the sexual innuendos. Stephanie Elmir stars in Director Chanelle Tyson’s film Eden, the Honorable Mention Recipient at Outfest LA’s One Minute Movie Competition , sponsored by HBO and Fusion. Dark yet transcendentally hopeful, Elmir portrays a young queer woman’s struggle to accept her identity and devotion to God.

Created by Sojourn Theatre Company and hosted by University of Southern California’s School of Dramatic Arts, seven actors (including Elmir) venture into this devised piece. Movement, games, and food drive to deeper conversation with new strangers every night. The catch? The actors and strangers hold conflicting opinions. Facilitating on topics like abortion, BLM, God, and much more, this production asks, “After all this, can we be friends?”
